Should I always choose the smallest pacifier size?
It is often recommended to stick with the smallest pacifier size to prevent large teats from displacing the baby’s tongue and causing misaligned teeth. This is a good guideline for all conventional soothers – but not for our orthodontic soothers with a Dental-Step, as these innovative soothers adapt perfectly to the growth of your baby’s teeth and jaw, thus ensuring healthy development of the dental system.
The Dental-Step grows with your baby!
The dentistar pacifier is available in three different sizes. As the teat with the Dental-Step adapts perfectly to your baby’s palate and teeth, the shape changes with the three sizes, as your baby also grows over time. It is therefore important to change to the next larger stage to provide ideal support for jaw and tooth development. In contrast to conventional soothers, the dentistar soother takes into account the normal position of the teeth and jaw development. This helps to prevent misaligned teeth and supports the healthy development of the milk teeth.

Choosing the right pacifier size
Tooth growth in babies is very individual. When choosing the right size, you should therefore be guided by the development of your baby’s teeth. The monthly information on pacifiers serves as a general guide, but as soon as the first teeth erupt, you should switch to size 2, even if your baby is under 6 months old. It is important that you also pay attention to your baby’s teething, as this influences the change in pacifier size. As soon as the first teeth are visible, it is advisable to switch to a larger size to avoid putting too much strain on the teeth.
Take your baby’s individual tooth growth into account.
Size 1: I don't have any teeth yet
The Dental-Step is only slightly defined in size 1. The small teat leaves enough room for the tongue.
Size 1 is perfectly sized for newborns until their first tooth arrives.

Size 2: My first tooth has arrived
The Dental-Step in the teat is clearly visible, which significantly reduces the pressure on the jaw and teeth.
Size 2 is perfectly sized for baby’s first teeth

Size 3: My first molar has arrived
Size 3 has the most pronounced Dental-Step. Pressure on the jaw and teeth is reduced and the natural development of the primary dentition is optimally supported.
Size 3 is perfectly sized for baby’s first molars.

What is the Dental-Step?
In close cooperation with dentists, we have developed the dentistar pacifier according to the latest scientific findings.
The special feature of the dentistar soother is the unique shape of the teat. It has an extra-flat shaft and an integrated Dental-Step that offers more space for the tongue and therefore provides up to 90% less pressure on the jaw and teeth than a conventional soother. The dentistar soother ensures maximum sucking comfort and is particularly tooth-friendly.
Integrated Dental-Step & an extra flat teat
The Dental-Step traces the teeth and palate so that the teeth can remain in their optimal and straight position. The extra-flat shaft minimizes the distance between the upper and lower incisors, preventing an open bite. The orthodontic pacifier supports correct tooth development.
The flat shaft of our dentistar pacifier reduces pressure on the jaw and teeth by up to 90%. This prevents jaw deformation and prevents malocclusion at an early stage.
More space for the tongue
As the dentistar pacifier is adapted to the shape of the palate and is slightly angled upwards, the tongue retains its natural free space forwards and tongue malfunctions (e.g. lisping) can be avoided.
The dentistar pacifier with Dental-Step adapts perfectly to your baby’s teeth and jaw growth and thus supports healthy tooth development. The three sizes – adapted to the eruption of the first teeth and molars – ensure that the milk teeth are optimally supported. When choosing the size, you should therefore be guided by your baby’s individual dental development.
